Flash Developer | LESS RAIN Tokyo

• Job Description

We are looking for a professional Flash web developer, to start immediately in our Tokyo branch or to work with on a per project / freelance basis.

You will be coding interactive environments, ranging from mini-sites to large scale consumer & corporate websites, to online games.

We are currently working on a number of projects involving AS3 and Flash 3D engines. If you have no previous experience in these fields you will find the right environment at Less Rain to develop your skills.

Rock solid AS2 skills are required though, here are some examples of the level of coding we expect:

• Tasks & Responsibilities

Your role involves working with our international team of front-end designers, Flash programmers and back-end developers in Tokyo and Europe, to create unique interactive experiences.

Our projects are concept driven, we aim to give every website a unique feel and design. The design concepts need to be reflected in the front end programming, with animations and transitions fitting to the general idea behind the project.

• Skills & Qualifications

• Solid AS2 Skills (OOP)

• Experience with Flash integration technologies (Dynamic content, XML)

• Experience with Eclipse, Flex Builder and CVS a plus

• Bandwidth and performance friendly coding

• Familiarity with AS3 and Flex is an advantage

• A feel for good interaction design and usability

• A minimum of 3 years experience

• Good English communication skills, Japanese a definite plus

  Core working hours are 10am - 7pm, inc 1 hour lunch break.
